When I heard the news that Michael Jackson had died at once rejected. I just a cruel rumor was circulated. I entered the elevator with a black woman who looked visibly shaken and asked him what he had heard. She confirmed the true. He was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm on June 25, 2009.
As the elevator went down to the ground floor, my heart sank with him. Like most people in black, I felt like I lost a childhood friend. The loss of a childhood friend may be more painful than losing a distant relative because of the connection historical shares. When a childhood friend dies, a part of your life dies with them. This was the case for me and millions of others who have had the pleasure of growing up with Michael Jackson.
Unlike any artist in history, Michael Jackson has made a cast of great popularity across generations of people that cut across genders, cultures, nations, races and ages. It was a feat that will probably never be reached again. His influence is easy to see the most important music of the moment contemporary artists such as Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo.
They share some similarities, but never to Michael Jackson.
I've heard the term "star" to describe Michael Jackson and similar descriptions such as "Superstar" and "superstar in the world" because of its recognition in the world. These references are much because they are too complex. It is simply the greatest artist who ever lived. It is also the most underrated singer of our time.
He picked up where James Brown left his cigar, soulfulness and power unrivaled dancing skills. James Brown moves. Michael Jackson had movements and choreography. The white teens hypnotized effect than Elvis. Elvis had charm. Michael Jackson had a charm and unprecedented power.
